As temperatures soar some may be lapping up the rays but Corby Borough Council is reminding residents about the dangers of the heat and asking them to take care.
Corby Borough Council has issued the NHS ‘guide to looking after yourself and others during hot weather’ on the front page of their website as a reminder that extreme heat can seriously damage your health.
The guide gives information on the risks of a heatwave, who may be vulnerable to the heat and what residents can do to protect themselves during long periods of hot weather. To view the guide please click here.
Leader of Corby Borough Council, Cllr Pat Fawcett said:
‘It is important that residents are aware of the risks of the continuous hot weather and they have the right information and advice to help. The NHS guide is quick and simple to read and could help prevent or identify symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. I would urge residents to have a look at the guide and take care during the hot weather.’
